Like so many others, I grew up struggling with my body and how I viewed it. I developed boobs way before many of my friends and quickly learned that I should feel ashamed and embarrassed, rather than proud and confident. The bigger I became, the less comfortable and more ugly (they aren't now!) my bras became. I was given the choice of beige or white full cups, in whatever size I was incorrectly fitted into because there wasn't a good enough choice. Looking back now, knowing what I know, I definitely think my relationship with my body and boobs could have been a much more positive one if I'd been fitted correctly. I'm sure you've all heard it before, but a correctly fitted bra can make a huge difference, and in some cases be life changing. (I even started a blog about how much I love lingerie, thanks to the whole new world that was opened up to me after a proper fitting - www.hcupchronicles.com).
A bra fitting can be a hugely intimidating and personal event for many people. It's so hard to know who to trust, where to go, what advice to follow. Believe me, I've been through my fair share of horrifying experiences; being poked and prodded, feeling exposed and uncomfortable, like my body was wrong somehow, and it was all my fault. This is why I decided to start my personal bra fitting service, because it really doesn't have to be this way, and I don't want any one else to feel the shame, embarrassment and guilt I felt all those hours spent standing in garishly lit changing rooms. I'll come to you. We can have a chat about what you want or need from me and your bras, and using my knowledge and experience from my time as a bra fitter, I'll determine your true size and what styles will work best for you. I'm confident that in no time you'll feel much more comfortable and happy!
It's important to me that the service I offer, as well as the products I sell, caters to a wider audience than the high street normally does. As a member of the LGBTQ community, it simply goes without saying that my business is open, welcoming and inclusive. I know it can be hard for transgender and non-binary people to determine whether a business will be a safe space for them. Please know that you are safe with me.
I also have a lot of experience fitting customers who have undergone mastectomies and reconstructive surgery. I will be stocking bras which are suitable for post-surgery, as well as ones which can be worn with prosthetics.
To keep from rambling, my knowledge is extensive, and my passion is even larger! I hope you get in touch, and can learn to love lingerie and your body in the same way I have.
